Alpha Omega Youth Ministry – Sundays 6:00 – 8:00
The Alpha Omega Youth Ministry youth program serves 6th through 12th graders. Alpha Omega meets on Sunday evenings and begins with a snack supper at 6:00 and continues with programs and activities until 8:00. Our mission is to support, encourage, help, lead, and direct youth in spiritual and personal growth by providing youth programs based on the Word of God, where Christian ideas, values, and faith can be explored in a supportive group of peers and adults. In addition to weekly activities, youth are involved in numerous fund raising projects, local and national mission projects, and social activities.
Food and Fellowship — Wednesday Evenings – 6:45 – 8:00
This is a discussion style gathering where we talk about how the Bible relates to real life. We meet at a different house each time. If you would like to come to the Wednesday Night Dinner at 5:45, our van will leave at 6:30 to give you a ride to the Food and Fellowship location. Sessions last from 6:45 until 8:00 and parents may pickup from the Food and Fellowship location at 8:00 or from the church at 8:30. Locations will be announced.
Additional Youth Activities
In addition to the above opportunities, youth of Beaver Ridge UMC are connected to and participate in a variety of experiences. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Annual participation in Resurrection (Holston Conference Spiritual Retreat)
- Two youth retreats each year
- Participation in district youth events
- Various fundraising activities
- Annual week-long mission trip
- Monthly service projects
- Various participation in missions both within the church and the community
