A variety of discipleship classes are available for adults during the Sunday school time (10:00 – 10:45) at Beaver Ridge UMC. Listed below is a very brief description of each class. For help in finding the class that fits your interests, please contact one of the ministers or the adult Sunday school superintendent (Joe Stewart).

Fellowship
The Fellowship class is one of the longest meeting classes at Beaver Ridge UMC having met now for 40 – 50 years! It is open to any age and delights in studying and discussing the Bible. This class regularly studies and follows the International Sunday school series using a lecture/discussion format. We also enjoy “traveling the glob and history via DVD technology. Fellowship is led by Wally Ratliff and meets in the Chapel.
Gleaners
Currently meeting in the church library, this class rotates its leadership role. Topics of study vary and include topical issues as well as Biblical studies.
Goodwill
Leaders: Jack Harvey and Charlene Asbury. The Goodwill class regular studies and follows the International Sunday school series and follows a lecture/discussion format. It meets in Room 209 of the Office building and is a class for all ages. Class members have a sincere love and concern for one another, accept various views, share knowledge, insights and experiences, and support the church with its presence, prayers and gifts. Extra activities for this class include meals and parties, going to plays, sporting events and participating in special projects.
Good Samaritan
Meeting in Room 207 of the Office Building, the Good Samaritan class rotates leadership and covers a variety of materials from contemporary issues to Biblical study.
LIGHT – (Learning and Interested in God’s Happiness and Teachings)
Juggling life and family is hard. Join this class as they discuss life topics and how the Bible provides direction for even the seemingly mundane aspects of life. Leadership is rotated and the class currently meets in the Education building.
Lost Sheep
Currently this class is studying a “Journey through the Bible.” Leadership rotates and the class meets in the Education building. Members of the class are both married and single from the age of mid 20s and up. The class participates in several areas of service including baskets for the youth spaghetti supper, backpacks for missions, helping stock the Food Pantry, sending boxes to members in the military and assisting with the Angel Food Ministries. The class also enjoys socializing with an annual Christmas party, monthly birthday dinners and Sunday lunch outings. Come check us out — we are really not “baaaaaad!” JJ
The Way
The Way Sunday school class meetings in the Lobby of the Family Life Center. It is a discussion-based class which uses small group video studies such as Nooma, Andy Stanley, Liquid Series, etc. The class is open to any age person in any stage of life. The class supports the prayer pager ministry, prayer support and also serves as the “first point of contact” in the Family Life Center during the Sunday school hour.
